Studs:

Tony Romo, QB, Cowboys: According to the tabloids at my local grocer, Romo is dating Jessica Simpson. He also threw for 4 TD’s on Thursday night, and is now the new spokesman for Wrangler jeans.

Peyton Manning, QB, Colts: Two straight weeks on the stud list for Manning, who tossed 4 TD’s and a pick on Sunday against a good Jags defense.

Josh McCown, QB, Raiders: I don’t have to tell you this, but don’t expect 3 TD’s from McCown every week.

Luke McCown, QB, Bucs: All in all, a great day for QB’s named McCown. This one went for 313 yards and 2 scores.

Vince Young, QB, Titans: Makes this list due to the fact that seemingly for the first time all year he wasn’t horrible, going for 248 and 2 TD’s, with a pick.

LaDainian Tomlinson, RB, Chargers: Had 177 yards and 2 scores, and seems the only Charger worth counting on these days.

Travis Henry, RB, Broncos: Had 2 TD’s in a performance that seemed to say “Remember this after I begin serving a long league-mandated suspension.”

Justin Fargas, RB, Raiders: In what could be termed “the feelgood story of the year” were it not for the presence of Brett Favre, Fargas continued his run of good performances, going for 146 and a score.

Steven Jackson, RB, Rams: Jackson was a hair shy of the 100 yard mark, but scored again, and added 4 catches for 71 yards. Owners who stuck with Jackson through his groin issues are being rewarded down the stretch. I know, I just typed the words groin issues.

Adrian Peterson, RB, Vikings: Who needs a PCL? A workmanlike 116-yard, 2 TD effort for the prodigious youngster puts the Vikes squarely in the NFC mix.

Willis McGahee, RB, Ravens: 138 yards and another score for the solid McGahee.

Jerious Norwood, RB, Falcons: Makes this list because he had 94 yards, on 8 carries. This in contrast to Warrick Dunn, who managed 17 yards on 10 carries (see: Bobby Petrino, duds).

Fred Jackson, RB, Bills: Had a solid 82 yards on 16 carries, to go with another 69 yards on 4 catches.

Roddy White, WR, Falcons: Despite horrendous options at quarterback, White continues to produce, this week to the tune of 10 catches for 146 yards and a TD.

Braylon Edwards, WR, Browns: This kid is the real deal, and he proved it again, going for 149 and a score.

Joey Galloway, WR, Bucs: No scores, but 159 yards on 7 catches for Galloway.

Torry Holt, WR, Rams: Holt had 6 catches for 135 yards and a score.

Andre Johnson, WR, Texans: Another talented youngster dealing with erratic quarterbacking, Johnson racked up 119 yards and a score on Sunday.

Tony Gonzalez, TE, Chiefs: Didn’t score, but had 10 catches for 140 yards.

Duds:

Brett Favre, QB, Packers: Just 56 yards, 2 INTs and an injury for the Feelgood Story of Your Lifetime.

Jason Campbell, QB, Redskins: Could conjure up only 216 yards and 1 INT against the Bills. Like Phil Rivers, he seems to be on the every-other-week plan.

Philip Rivers, QB, Chargers: See, every-other-week plan. Rivers was down again, going for less than 200 yards and a pick (with one TD).

Jay Cutler, QB, Broncos: Looked like Brett Favre last week, and Philip Rivers this week, throwing for 2 INT’s and no TD’s.

John Beck, QB, Dolphins: Touchdowns: 0. Picks: 3. Hope: none.

AJ Feeley, QB, Eagles: The good vibes that Feeley conjured last week were largely forgotten due to his 4 INT performance on Sunday.

Frank Gore, RB, 49ers: Had 58 yards on only 12 carries in the “Disappointing Teams Bowl.”

Kevin Jones, RB, Lions: His 3 carries produced a grand total of 1 yard. Nice. This would be okay if the Lions were passing for 450 yards and 4 TD’s every week...however, they aren’t. For those tracking Mike Martz’s play-calling tendencies at home, the Lions had 6 rushing attempts by RB’s on Sunday.

Joseph Addai, RB, Colts: Had only 67 yards on 21 carries, and failed to find the end zone.

Deion Branch, WR, Seahawks: More was expected of Branch, who gets this week’s Dennis Northcutt Award, going for 40 yards on 5 catches.

Wes Welker, WR, Patriots: 3 catches for 18 wasn’t exactly what Welker owners had in mind.

Anthony Gonzalez, WR, Colts: With Marv out, owners thought they would get more than 1 catch for 22 yards out of young Gonzo.

Javon Walker, WR, Broncos: Okay, figure you give him a mulligan for last week’s goose-egg, but 1 catch for 7 yards wasn’t enough this week.

Anquan Boldin, WR, Cardinals: I expected this passing game to do more against Cleveland. Boldin had 2 grabs for 25 yards.

Antonio Gates, TE, Chargers: 1 catch, for -1 yard.

Bobby Petrino, Head Coach, Falcons: See, running backs.
