Arizona at Baltimore

Studs:
Kurt Warner, QB, Cardinals:
Hey, remember this guy? Used to bag groceries, was a Super Bowl MVP, crazy wife, etc.? He played pretty well this week in relief of Matt Leinart, tossing 2 scores.

Duds:
Edgerrin James, RB, Cardinals:
Only 57 yards on 10 carries...which actually isn’t a bad stat line, considering he was playing the Ravens.

Buffalo at New England

Studs:
Tom Brady, QB, Patriots:
Unfortunately for those who own Pats receivers, Brady involved everyone in the offense...I think Irving Fryar had a catch today. Brady, though, was sharp, throwing 4 TD’s.

Duds:
Lee Evans, WR, Bills:
The good news? The Bills got to see Trent Edwards. The bad news? He didn’t throw to Lee Evans either.

Detroit at Philadelphia

Studs:
Kevin Curtis, WR, Eagles:
Welcome to this week’s rendition of Louisville vs. Middle Tennessee State. This is the same Curtis that had a whopping 6 catches and no TD’s coming into the Detroit game. I’d like to say I saw this coming, but I would be lying.

Donovan McNabb, QB, Eagles: McNabb: 4 TD’s. Haters: 0.

Brian Westbrook, RB, Eagles: Topped the century mark in rushing and receiving and scored twice...once through the air and once on the ground.

Duds:
Reggie Brown, WR, Eagles:
Quick, name the only Eagle who didn’t put up mad numbers this week? The answer, of course, is Reggie Brown.

The Eagles Uniforms: Coming soon to an IKEA near you...

Indianapolis at Houston

Studs:
Joseph Addai, RB, Colts:
A pedestrian yardage day, but scored twice as Manning had the kind of ordinary day he has once in a while.

Duds:
Ahman Green, RB, Texans:
Green had been pretty effective up until this week, when he suddenly found himself losing carries to the likes of Jameel Cook and Samkon Gado.

Miami at New York Jets

Studs:
Ronnie Brown, RB, Dolphins:
Better late than never, for Ronnie Brown (3 TDs), who was seemingly unaware that the season started two weeks ago. More encouraging? Nobody else carried the ball for Miami.

Chad Pennington, QB, Jets: A nice day for Chad, who threw a couple of TD strikes and staved off Kellen Clemens. For now.

Thomas Jones, RB, Jets: Finally topped the 100 yard mark, and gave fantasy owners some glimmer of hope.

Minnesota at Kansas City

Studs:
Adrian Peterson, RB, Vikings:
Without Adrian Peterson, Minnesota’s offense would look a lot like, well, Kansas City’s. Peterson added another rushing score.

Dwayne Bowe, WR, Chiefs: Provided the first sighting of a Kansas City WR in several weeks, scoring his first NFL TD.

Duds:
Larry Johnson, RB, Chiefs:
It’s officially time to buy low on LJ...unfortunately, his numbers might not get much better.

San Diego at Green Bay

Studs:
Philip Rivers and Antonio Gates, Chargers:
Rivers finally had the game that many of his fantasy owners expected, while Gates once again proved why he is the #1 receiver in San Diego.

Brett Favre, QB, Packers: Another year, another come from behind win engineered by Favre, who tossed 3 TDss and 0 INTs today.

Duds:
Deshawn Wynn, RB, Packers:
Those who rushed to the waiver wire to pick up the former Gator were rewarded with...9 yards rushing.

San Francisco at Pittsburgh

Studs:
Willie Parker, RB, Steelers:
No scores, but topped 100 yards for the Steelers.

Duds:
Frank Gore, RB, 49ers:
Held to 39 yards in a Niners offense that is underachieving across the board.

St. Louis at Tampa Bay

Studs:
Ernest Graham, RB, Bucs:
8 carries, 2 TD’s, 1 vulture alert.

Duds:
Marc Bulger, QB, Rams:
Threw for just over 100 yards to go with 3 INTs. Wow, the Rams really do suck. It’s now officially time to worry about all of these guys, from a fantasy perspective.

Cincinnati at Seattle

Studs:
Bengals Wideouts:
Both CJ and Housh topped 100 yards, with CJ finding paydirt.

Duds:
Rudi Johnson, RB, Bengals:
Recorded a whopping 9 yards rushing and pulled a hammy. Woof. Grab Kenny Watson, just in case.

Cleveland at Oakland

Studs:
Lamont Jordan, RB, Raiders:
This guy has been a consistent stud this year, posting over 100 yards and a score to help lead the Raiders to their first win in forever.

Duds:
Jamal Lewis, RB, Browns:
I hope you sold high on him last week, as this is more like it: 15 carries, 56 yards, no scores.

Jacksonville at Denver

Studs:
Brandon Marshall, WR, Broncos:
Among lots of people who did very little in this game, he did the most (7 catches, 133 yards), if that makes sense.

Duds:
Travis Henry, RB, Broncos:
Who knew Shanahan would choose not to run the ball (11 carries for T-Hen) against the worst run defense in football thus far? Sometimes geniuses are hard to figure out. Henry, though, did manage to score.

Carolina at Atlanta

Studs:
Roddy White, WR, Falcons:
Remember when this guy was a first round draft choice? He went for over a hundred and a score today, for what it’s worth.

Duds:
Steve Smith, WR, Panthers:
If I had room to nominate everyone involved in this game for “dud” status, I would have, but Smith led the way with once catch.

Jerious Norwood, RB, Falcons: After Bobby Petrino vowed to get him more involved, he rewarded the speedy young runner withÉ6 carries.

New York Giants at Washington

Studs:
Reuben Droughns, RB, Giants:
Remember Droughns, the guy who was supposed to back up Brandon Jacobs? Remember Brandon Jacobs? Droughns scored twice today.

Duds:
Washington WR’s:
Campbell loves to find the RB’s and TE’s...case in point, Redskin wideouts combined for just 5 catches.

Dallas at Chicago

Studs:
Terrell Owens, WR, Cowboys:
Looked oddly like a real football player and not the camera-loving diva that he has often been of late.

Marion Barber, RB, Cowboys: Racked up another pair of touchdowns one on the ground and one through the air. This guy is an every week start.

Duds:
Rex Grossman, QB, Bears:
0 TD’s, 3 INT’s. It’s time for Brian Griese...or Erik Kramer...or Jim Miller...or Moses Moreno...or Steve Stenstrom...or Vince Evans...

Tennessee at New Orleans

Studs:
LenDale White, RB, Titans:
Rushed for only 50 yards, but seems to be establishing himself as the leader in this job-share, and also something of a force on the goal-line, notching another rushing TD.

Duds:
Devery Henderson, WR, Saints:
Henderson went high in many drafts, due to the fact that he was the #2 receiver in what was thought to be a good offense. He had one catch for 11 yards.

Drew Brees, QB, Saints: Four more picks to go with no touchdowns...Brees is pushing and trying to right the ship himself, and the results have been ugly.
